I Hate Spiders

utterz-image
This damned thing had made it's web over my back door so I about crapped my pants when I went out for a smoke at 5 this morning. I figured it would be gone when I arrived home but amazingly enough it and the web were still there.

I have since partially dismantled the web hoping it would leave but it looks like it is enjoying the spot.

Keep it around ... that's a writing spider and it'll take out some of the mosquito population for ya. And if your part of GA is anything like my part of NC right now, that can only be a good thing!

My experience with these guys is they don't hang around long though.

Hi,I hate spiders, but actually love the writing spiders as long as they stay on thier web which they normally do far as i know. they are pretty..for as spiders go. i have several of these in my yard. I do not kill them like i do all other spiders. I leave them. they eat mosquito's just like mojo said. here in sc the mosquito population is horrible especially in my yard. funny that i came across this blog, because i had a thought that when i got home from work that i was going to take pictures of the writing spiders in my yard and blog about them. just zipping through blogs i ran across yours. glad i did though. like what im reading. hope you dont mind if i follow your blog and your mybloglog.

Well, finding spiders neither useful nor beautiful, I'm all for a well-placed match in these situations. Just don't burn your house down! :D

Oh good God! You would hear me scream in Georgia if I saw that thing above my head.
