This damned thing had made it's web over my back door so I about crapped my pants when I went out for a smoke at 5 this morning. I figured it would be gone when I arrived home but amazingly enough it and the web were still there.

I have since partially dismantled the web hoping it would leave but it looks like it is enjoying the spot.

So we are most likely leaving this morning. We don't have to check out or anything since I did the express check-out deal, which is sort of cool. Originally we had planned to go to one of the parks today and then stay at a hotel halfway home but the wife and I are both ready to get the hell on and get back to our own house. The girls would be happy to stay for a bit longer I think but I want a couple of days at home prior to going back to work as well. The fact that I have been trying to quit smoking again hasn't improved my mood much this week. It's been seven days since I had a cigarette and some minutes I just want to choke the life out of something.

Vacation!

So I am officially on vacation for the next ten days! Didn't think this would ever get here. The wife has to work today and as soon as she gets home this afternoon we'll be leaving. We will most likely be staying overnight in Lake City Florida and then drive the rest of the way to Disney in the morning. The last time we made the trip we left the house at 3am and by the time we got there we were so wiped out that neither of us wanted to do a darn thing.

I will try to keep updates on a semi-regular basis while I am gone.

The mobile stuff using go.blogger.com doesn't seem to be working but I am trying to get Refeed to pull in the RSS feed from here just in case. I was missing the Feed::Find module and just installed it from CPAN, hopefully that will work.
